Where do I park to take an exam if I don’t have a parking pass?

If you are a current UVU student, you will need to register your vehicle with Parking Services. There is a free parking pass option to park in the purple lot, but you must have the pass to park there.

If you are not a student, park in the student lot across the street and contact Parking Services at 801-863-8188 to let them know you need to take an exam. They will ask for your license plate number, the make, and model of your car.

When is the Accuplacer given?

The Accuplacer is given on a walk-in basis anytime we are open. We do recommend students come in at least two hours before we close our doors. For more info on the Accuplacer visit our placement page.

How many times can I take the Accuplacer?

You can take the Accuplacer up to 3 times in a 6 week period, with 24 hours within each retake.

What do I need to bring with me to test?

You should bring either your UVU student ID card or a current government issued ID, as well as money for any fees that may be collected for your exam. We also recommend that you bring any test aids that are allowed for your exam and a pencil or pen to write with if your exam is on paper or allows scratch paper.

How do I check to see when my test is running?

You can see specifically when your tests are running in the CTC by logging into to your chitester account at, clicking on the ‘Testing Tab,’ selecting the test and viewing the ‘Test information’ to the right of the screen. You may also view all available tests for the day by checking our available tests page on chitester

How can I pay for my test fees?

We accept cash, Debit/Credit cards, and Green Bucks for testing fees. Cash is required for smaller fee items such as Blue Books or earplugs. We also have an ATM within the building that is capable of dispensing $1, $5, and $10 bills.

How can I view my test scores?

This depends on the type of test taken. You can see scores for paper/pencil or chitester exams at home. Go to, log in with your UV ID and password, click on the course name, and then find the test you took.

Students who take a test using Canvas, MyITLab, McGraw Hill Connect, or other testing platforms may see their scores by checking the course gradebooks. Keep in mind, some professors may choose not to release exam results until the testing period is closed.

Do I have to bring my own scratch paper for my classroom test?

Yes, we recommend that you bring your own scratch paper. All scratch paper will be collected at the end of your test.

Where is the testing center?

We are located on the north west corner of UVU's Main Campus.  Our physical address is 1165 W 800 S Orem, Utah.  Be careful when entering our address into map systems, many of them, including Apple Maps, have been known to send people to the west side of I-15 by the Orem Frontrunner Station.
