Breakfast with Santa Around the World

Breakfast with Santa is a campus tradition dating back many years and is evolving to be an opportunity to celebrate diverse heritage and traditions observed during the winter holidays. The event is designed specifically with our students with children in mind. Families can come get breakfast and photos with Santa for the holidays.

Emerald Ball

Emerald Ball is UVU's formal dance held at the end of Homecoming Week. The dance is held in the Grande Ballroom with a DJ. There is a reception area in the commons with refreshments.

Green Out Dance

The Green Out Dance provides an atmosphere of UVU pride to celebrate the start of a new school year.


Insomnia is held in the UCCU Center on Halloween night. This is the largest Halloween party in Utah County and attracts thousands of students across the state.

Mardi Gras

Mardi Gras takes up the whole student center to provide a New Orleans themed night out. This event traditionally has a casino room, hypnotist and magic shows, a DJ dance, henna tattoos and other novelties.


Mr. UVU is a traditional pageant that has been held since 1989 for students involved or not involved to participate for the title. The contestants are judged in Swimwear, Talent, Evening Wear and Interview portions of the competition. It is supposed to be a parody of the traditional Miss America Pageants.


SoundBites is our monthly open mic night. Soundbites has become a highly successful tradition of UVU and brings out a different demographic of students and gives them a chance to express their artistic abilities.

UVU’s Best Dance Crew

UVUBDC brings students together to form dance crews from hip-hop to ballroom to compete for the title of UVU’s Best Dance Crew and for a grand prize. This is one of the most highly anticipated events on campus and has been happening annually since 2009.

Wolverine Achievement Awards

 The UVUSA Wolverine Achievement Awards are awards given to students, faculty, staff, alumni and administrators in recognition of outstanding contributions to campus and community. The award winners are recognized by their peers to be outstanding in their educational and professional pursuits.

Wolverine Bingo

Wolverine Bingo is a low key social event where students play high stakes bingo. Prizes range from gift cards to a trip to Disneyland!

UVUSA Senate Speaker Series

UVUSA Academic Senate brings speakers to campus each year. Senators cooperate with the colleges and schools of UVU to bring national and international speakers to educate and enlighten students and the university on a broad range of topics.

Campus Wide Forums

UVUSA Academic Senate sponsors campus wide forums based on input submitted by students to the suggestion boxes and online Student Voice app. These forums can be open for discussion or are targeted to a specific topic.

A series of events through the academic year informing students about important political topics.

Say Hey to UVUSA

In an effort to stay connected with students at large, student council frequently leaves their office to spend time in the hallways with the student body. 

Club Rush

Club Rush is an event that brings students together to explore what UVU clubs has to offer. Clubs set up tables on-campus for two days for students to be able to visit, learn and join the clubs they're interested in. If a student visits 8 clubs or more, they will receive a voucher for free food.

Clubs Welcome Back BBQ

Clubs BBQ is an event to kick-off the year for those students who are involved in clubs. It's an opportunity for club presidents, presidencies and members to network with other clubs and to get to know their club ambassador at the beginning of the year. Clubs will be provided with a meal and be trained on specific Club Office protocol.

Inter Club Council Meetings

Inter Club Council Meetings happen twice a month on the first Tuesday and Wednesday of the month. Chartered and approved clubs come to be updated on the happenings of the Clubs Office. They are trained on Clubs Office protocol, will have an opportunity to share their upcoming events and will be able to network with their Club Ambassador and other clubs.

Clubs Closing Banquet

Clubs Closing Banquet is an awards ceremony at the end of the academic year for the Clubs Office to show appreciation to the clubs for everything they've accomplished within the last year. In addition, clubs are recognized for their hard work, some are selected to receive specific awards and others have an opportunity to perform on stage in front of their peers.
