VA Work Study ProgramVeterans and Dependents on Benefits 3/4-Time or More

Work study contract length follows the start and end date of each semester.

This a Veterans Affairs (VA) program that employs eligible students to work in the UVU Veteran Success Center. Work studies are VA employees but they work on UVU campus to help students utilize their GI Bill®* benefits. Many of our work studies enjoy this opportunity because our office tries to be flexible and accommodate their school schedule when possible. In addition, our office is located on campus which makes it convenient to move between work and classes. This program provides work studies an opportunity to learn how their own benefit functions and to network and interact with other military-connected people.

Who is Eligible? You are eligible if you are a full-time or a three-quarter time student in a college degree, vocational, or professional program and using GI Bill® benefits.

Wages: Your hourly pay rate will be the greater of:

  1. The Federal minimum wage (tax-free); or
  2. The minimum wage for the State in which you are working.
