Eat Well Campaign

Looking for healthy food options on campus? Let us help!

Wellness Programs has partnered with Dining Services and Human Resources to make it easier for you to find healthy food options on campus. At every food venue, including the Valley View room, you will find an Eat Well sign. These signs will list the healthy food options available at each location. The items in the Valley View room will rotate each week. Look for signs with this logo:

Eat Well Logo

Eat Well is based on criteria from the American Dietetic Association and the United States Department of Agriculture Food Guide Pyramid Guidelines. Eat Well food options must also meet the following criteria:

  • Made with or contain whole grains
  • Made with or contain nonfat or low-fat milk and milk products
  • Made with lean meat: lean ground meats: beef, pork, chicken, fish, or turkey
  • Low sodium food items: less than 20% of daily value
  • Made with healthy oils which include: canola oil, olive oil, or low fat butters and margarine containing no trans-fat
  • All food items must contain less than 30% fat per serving
