The WolverINC program is aimed at transforming the trajectories of UVU students by helping them launch high-revenue businesses alongside experienced entrepreneurs. Every serial entrepreneur has a few ideas in the back of their mind that they know are valuable but don't have the time or bandwidth to pursue. We help match these experienced entrepreneurs with a hungry, young UVU student ready to make those ideas reality. The experienced entrepreneur acts as an angel investor and mentor, and the student founder earns equity in the business as they achieve progress and revenue milestones. While there can be exciting financial outcomes for the community members who participate, there is also no better opportunity to "pay it forward" and shape the next generation of business leaders. The Wings Society offers community members a unique opportunity to support student entrepreneurs while experiencing the thrill of a "Shark Tank"-like environment. Community members form a group of 4-5 to act as “sharks” and come to UVU to hear student pitches and award funding. This program is not an investment program, and contributions are philanthropic. The Wings Society is an incredibly fun and engaging experience for Society members, but the support it provides to student businesses is life-changing. Society members get to witness and shape the vanguard of business innovation in the Valley, as well as attend a yearly symposium on cutting-edge entrepreneurial strategy and investing.
