Engage. Network. Lead. Make a Difference.

Utah Women’s Leadership Exchange (UWLE) provides opportunities for leadership development and professional mentorship and pairs high-potential, mid-career women and male allies to emerge as leaders with women or men already in leadership positions within USHE.

Who Can Participate?

UWLE is for people of all genders who are mid-career and have five or more years full-time employment at a Utah System of Higher Education (USHE) institution and who either currently have staff leadership positions at middle, senior, or executive levels or are faculty members in line to be department chairs, deans, or vice presidents. Applicants should be committed to equity and opportunity for women in higher education.

What is the Purpose of UWLE?

  • Increase opportunities for equity for women within the USHE system,
  • Create a catalyst for leadership development for women in higher education across the state, and
  • Illustrate the value and importance of mentoring in developing women leaders in USHE.

UWLE has moved from being on the academic calendar to the traditional calendar.

We will begin accepting nominations on September 1, 2022. Please contact your Chief Academic Officer or Chief Student Affairs Officer if you are interested in being nominated from your institution.

If you are nominated, we will contact you directly with application materials. The next UWLE cohort will begin their training January 2023
