Interaction of UVU's E-Mail Systems

UVU's Linkmail and GroupWise systems are each complete, independent e-mail systems.  They can function separately from all other components of the UVU e-mail infrastructure.  UVU has created the e-mail infrastructure to enhance the functionality of the e-mail systems and to protect them as much as possible from malicious messages that threaten to cause problems.  Be incoming e-mail is received by Linkmail or GroupWise, first the UVU E-Mail Firewall and then the UVU Avinti iSolation Server receive and check each message to ensure it is safe.  Even messages sent between Linkmail and GroupWise are filtered.
