I think it's so awesome that my professors that are teaching my classes have real-world experiences and share them with us in class. It makes me feel like I am learning more from them and get to ask questions about what it is like to be in some of the dangerous situations that we learn about.

I chose this program for a very personal reason. I had a near death experience, and it was the paramedics that helped me. That made me want to help others. I was so excited when I saw that UVU has a paramedic program because it gave me the chance to give back to my community the same way that the paramedics helped me.

The Emergency Services programs provide a coveted education with the combination of knowledgeable and experienced professors as well as outstanding facilities and cutting-edge training equipment. Students can prepare for highly demanded professions via traditional book learning and applied practical skills which are acquired in lab settings and through supervised internships.

The Emergency Services programs at Utah Valley University are accredited by the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC). The initial accreditation was granted in 2004. An IFSAC accredited program indicates that course offerings, institutional support, and qualified faculty are working together in completing their educational mission.
