Mr. Matt Hasara

Biography

Matt Hasara has been at UVU for 10 wonderful years. He received his B.S. at Brigham Young University and his Higher Education Academy (HEA) Senior Fellowship at UVU. Matt comes to UVU with over 40 years’ experience in the automotive field and 25 years in the Powersports industry. Matt has a passion for Porsche automobiles, he has been involved in restoration, customization, and racing of these beautiful cars for over 4 decades. He feels he has an important responsibility to help his students succeed not only academically but also in life. Matt brought his racing experience to UVU and organized a new UVU Race Team for students. The team has found great success. The UVU Race Team was the first ever college based team to win a Champcar Endurance Series race this past summer. He teaches beginning and advanced automotive courses and over the last two years has designed the curriculum for UVU’s new Powersports program. Matt’s passion is in his work and he hopes to continue to bring great success to
