Dr. Matt North

Biography

Dr. Matt North has been teaching in the Information Systems and Technology department at UVU since 2015, after having taught for more than a decade at colleges in Pennsylvania, Argentina and Idaho. His teaching expertise is in database design, development and administration, data analytics, and geographic information systems (GIS). Research areas include data analytics, GIS, and technology pedagogy. He is the author of two books_ Life Lessons & Leadership, and Data Mining for the Masses, as well as numerous journal papers, articles, book chapters, and conference presentations. An award winning professor and scholar, he is a Fulbright alumnus, and the recipient of the Ben Bauman Award for Excellence, the Gamma Sigma Alpha Outstanding Professor Award, and the UVU Alumni Outstanding Professor award.
