Biography

Dr. Kuan-Chun Chen is an Assistant Professor in the Mathematical and Quantitative Reasoning Department. He holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Mathematics Education from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Before entering academia, he worked in Taiwan’s aviation industry for over seven years, an experience that inspired his research interests in STEM integration and real-world, problem-based learning in mathematics education. His work focuses on connecting mathematics with meaningful real-world contexts to enhance students’ conceptual understanding and engagement.
