Megan Spurlock

Biography

Megan Spurlock is Assistant Professor of Nursing at Utah Valley University with 2 years of teaching experience at the university level and 4 years of teaching experience at a technical college level. Megan Spurlock's clinical background includes 4 years of experience in oncology nursing at the Huntsman Cancer Institute and 3 years of experience in ICU and PACU nursing at the University of Utah Hospital. Megan's teaching interests lie at the intersection of fostering critical thinking skills, promoting healthcare equity, and cultivating a deep understanding of nursing principles. Megan is dedicated to creating an engaging learning environment that promotes active participation and clinical reasoning. Emphasizing evidence-based practice, Megan strives to empower students with the knowledge and skills necessary for excellence in equitable patient care. Megan is enthusiastic about inspiring the next generation of nurses to excel in both clinical competence and compassionate patient-centered care for all people.
