Michelle McPherson

Biography

A native of Utah Valley and a first-generation college student, Ms. Esplin-McPherson graduated from BYU's Marriott School of Business Management with a degree in Marketing and from BYU's J. Reuben Clark Law School. Before coming to UVU, she worked in marketing, B2B sales, family law and victim advocacy. Michelle has been teaching at UVU since 2017 (Professional Business Presentations, Career Preparation, and Written Business Communication) and enjoys learning from her students and helping them succeed in their careers and advanced education. In addition to help students improve their writing and critical thinking skills, Michelle has a special interest in and experience working with family law, adoption, public interest groups, Title IX rights, municipal organizations, and victim advocacy. Michelle also takes pride in offering pro bono legal assistance to victims of crime and children being adopted from the foster care system. She lives in Utah County with her son and husband.
