Dr. Ryan Schill

Biography

Decision case author who taught MBAs at Harvard Business School, INCAE, Middlebury, and undergraduate economics at Cambridge University.

Schill exited to NASDAQ-listed PRTS and also owned a construction firm that built mixed-use projects across the Western U.S. A resident of Latin America, he has taught privately under government contract courses in innovation economics to ministers and Heads of State of several Latin American countries. A McKinsey-contracted consultant, Ryan, managed marketing for a presidential campaign in Latin America.

Ryan attended Harvard's GSE and the New University President Seminar in 2017 to serve as a university president in Latin America. He has held additional roles in academia, including Assistant Rector for Development and Advancement, Entrepreneur Center Director, Department Chair, and René Morales Carazo Endowed Professor. Schill established an entrepreneurship center, led global executive education programs, and launched an MBA scholarship for Latin American innovators. He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Information Technology Education.

Schill has held fellowships at Babson College, the Max Planck Gesellschaft, and The Technion. At Cambridge, he was a doctoral researcher at the House of Lords and the Bank of England. He is a former director at the Cambridge-MIT Exchange and a member of the Global Network for Advanced Management initiated by Yale SOM.

Ryan served on the boards of outdoor equipment companies in ice climbing, mountaineering, backcountry skiing, and whitewater sports. He has been an adolescent coach with US Ski and Snowboard and also supports the Boys and Girls Club.
