Biography

Dr. Hyunjeong Lee is an assistant professor in the Mathematical and Quantitative Reasoning department at Utah Valley University. She earned her Ph.D. in Mathematics Education from Indiana University Bloomington in 2026. Over the past ten years, she has worked as a mathematics educator in both secondary and higher education, helping students develop their mathematical understanding and confidence. Her research focuses on how teachers make sense of students' mathematical thinking and how that understanding can support meaningful mathematics learning.
