Biography

Robert is an adjunct instructor in the UVU Finance and Economics Department where he teaches FIN 2210: Life, Love and Money. He is also an instructor at The American College of Financial Services in its CFP® / ChFC® education program.

In addition to teaching, Robert works as a senior financial planner at Adams Wealth Advisors in Logan, Utah. He collaborates with advisors to help clients optimize their wealth and make sound financial decisions. His philosophy is about helping people thoughtfully use their wealth to live meaningfully, find joy, and make a difference.

Robert has built his career in Utah where he’s worked as a financial advisor for J.P. Morgan and E*TRADE. Prior to his current role, Robert was a financial planning director at Morgan Stanley where he devised wealth strategies for ultra-high net worth clients and coached advisors on effective planning techniques.

Robert received a bachelor's degree in finance from Brigham Young University and a master's degree in Personal Financial Planning from Texas Tech University. He maintains the marks of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, Certified Private Wealth Advisor®, and Chartered Special Needs Consultant®. He was recognized as a "5-Star Financial Planner" by InvestmentNews in 2025.

Robert and his wife have two children. They enjoy hiking and camping in Utah’s beautiful mountains and deserts. He also likes to ski, play chess, and listen to audiobooks about ancient religions, philosophy, history, and economics.
