Dr. Ben Schilaty

Biography

Dr. Ben Schilaty is an assistant professor of social work in the Behavioral Sciences Department at Utah Valley University. He also works part-time as a therapist specializing in working with LGBTQ clients and their families. Prior to coming to UVU, Dr. Schilaty worked as an administrator at Brigham Young University. He also spent a decade teaching Spanish at the middle school, high school, and college levels. He is the author of A Walk In My Shoes_ Questions I am Often Asked as a Gay Latter Day Saint and cohosts the podcast "All Out in the Open" with his friend Charlie Bird.
