Biography

Rod Lacey brings more than 30 years of progressive, global human resources leadership experience to his role as a Professional in Residence at Utah Valley University, a position he has held since 2018. To remain actively engaged in the evolving practice of human resources, Rod is the founder and principal of Sunstone HR Consulting, a fractional HR consultancy he has led since 2017.

A seasoned HR generalist, Rod offers broad expertise across the full spectrum of human resources and is deeply committed to bridging theory and practice. He is passionate about working with students and takes pride in mentoring and supporting them beyond the classroom as they prepare to launch and advance their careers in human resources.
