Biography

K. Ryan Jenkins is an Adjunct Professor of International Business with over two decades of global executive, military, and academic experience spanning strategy, finance, operations, and leadership in complex international environments. He has served as a VP and Executive Director of Business Development for multinational government services firms, leading overseas capture and growth efforts across Europe, the Indo-Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa, with a concentration in base operations support, logistics, and large-scale services contracting.

In parallel, Ryan is a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Reserve and Battalion Commander within the Civil Affairs Regiment, where he specializes in military economics, civil supply chains, logistics, and information operations. His operational experience includes senior leadership roles in Bahrain, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Diego Garcia, Singapore, Germany, and other strategic locations, providing him with direct exposure to cross-cultural management, public–private partnerships, and host-nation economic systems.

Ryan is the co-founder and CEO of a real estate investment and property management firm and brings a practitioner’s perspective on markets, risk management, and entrepreneurial decision-making. He holds an MBA and a Master of Science in Finance from Indiana University as well as Master of Global Management and Doctor of Professional Practice in Global Leadership and Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management. His teaching emphasizes applied international business strategy, geopolitical risk, ethical leadership, and economics based decision-making under uncertainty and contested environments, integrating scholarly rigor with real-world case experience.
