Biography

I joined the Technology Management department in the Spring of 2022 as an Adjunct Instructor. I received my BS degree in Applied Physics from Brigham Young University. My emphasis was in product development, which included additional courses in computer science, business management, and manufacturing engineering. I worked at a manufacturing company where I was in charge of product design and development, specializing in Computer Aided Design (CAD) using SolidWorks, Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) using MasterCAM, and CNC programing for machining tools and products. I received my MS degree from Brigham Young University in Manufacturing Engineering Systems with research in composite materials. I currently work as an Engineering Manager at a manufacturing facility where I have been involved mainly in process improvement and new product development. The last few years have included new processes involving industrial robots (FANUC and Yaskawa Motoman) as well as integrating PLC and IoT data collection for informed decision making. I am currently pursuing a PhD degree from the University of Utah in Material Science and Engineering, with an emphasis in Robotics and Systems Engineering.
