Victoria Ekpoma, MSN, CNE, RN, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nursing at Utah Valley University and Level-III Patient Care Navigation Nurse for the University of Utah Community Clinics. She started her community focused health career in Agbara- Ogun State, Nigeria, where she partnered with private organizations to deliver primary, preventative healthcare to marginalized communities on the outskirts of the Metropolitan city of Lagos. The goal was to keep individuals and families within the marginalized communities safe, healthy, and able to maintain employment. Victoria is passionate about Global Perspectives on Women’s Health. She strives to promote equity and diversity in Healthcare Workforce, Nursing Education and Leadership. Her current, ongoing global health focused research works include, “Challenges of foreign-educated nurses in the United States_ Education, practice, and career advancement”, and “Exploring Cultural Safety in the Dynamics of Care and Prevention of FGM/C".
