This special edition workshop focuses on photography and capturing the natural beauty around us. Students will work with cyanotype paper to create sun prints with flowers, leaves, and sticks. Then, using photo paper, students will create their own painted "polaroids" inspired by the foliage in the Museum’s gardens. Ages: 14-17
This special edition workshop focuses on the blossoms and bugs found in the Museum’s very own gardens! Students will learn about entomology and foraging for edible plants, craft replica paper bugs like an entomologist, create bloom capsules for spreading native plant seeds at their homes, and experiment using shadows to create watercolor drawings. Students must bring lunch from home; small snacks will be provided. Ages: 10-13.
Spend a relaxing afternoon in the Museum’s gardens learning about painting “en plein air,” or outside, with nature as a reference! Taught by instructor Annalee Poulsen, students will learn basic plein air techniques for capturing the natural beauty around them. Supplies included; participants are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.

We provide all supplies, focusing on accessible, low-end materials, to show you the magic you can create right from your kitchen table. Sip on creative dirty soda concoctions while trying something new!
This educational workshop focuses on the colorful feud between artists Anish Kapoor and Stuart Semple. Delve into a modern-day artistic battle for creativity, with a humorous twist! This event includes a comedic art history presentation on a current artist feud as well as a painting activity involving the paints from Stuart Semple's store! Supplies and refreshments included.
