The African Diaspora Initiative (ADI) is a Multicultural Student Services (MSS) program that serves as an African-centered “home away from home” and oasis for students of diverse African and Black identities. Our programming focuses on observing cultural celebrations, developing key leadership skills, and fostering community among students who belong to the African diaspora.

The Asian Initiative celebrates and promotes Asian and Asian American identity and culture. We create a sense of community and develop cultural understanding through education, awareness, and appreciation. Our goal is to develop programming and offer support to students to increase student enrollment and improve college access for Asian and Asian American Wolverines who are otherwise underserved.

The Native American Initiative serves all students, staff, faculty, and community members from Native American, Indigenous, and First-Nation backgrounds. We focus on student needs through the services and support we offer to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, and asexual (LGBTQIA+) community at UVU. LGBTQ+ Student Services offers resources for the LGBTQIA+ community on campus and educational programming for all students, staff, and faculty.

UVU has students from over 70 countries in our student body. International Student Services provides information and advising to make the immigration process as smooth as possible, along with programming and events to celebrate the international student community at UVU.

The First-Generation Student Success Center creates opportunities for leadership development, peer and faculty mentoring, and scholarships for students who are the first in their families to attend college. We provide resources for first-generation students and host events celebrating our students’ accomplishments throughout the year.
TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) is a federally funded program serving first-generation, low-income, and/or students with disabilities. We provide tutoring, advising, and academic assistance for the students we support.
The UVU Ombuds is a mediator who investigates and attempts to resolve complaints, problems, and conflicts between students and the University. We facilitate grading disputes, housing and landlord disagreements, academic complaints, and other problems you may encounter.
