UVU is leading the way as a living laboratory for the application of artificial intelligence in higher education.

UVU’s Kahlert Applied AI Institute supports this work by advancing institutional capacity for AI integration through targeted faculty development & coordination, student academic support, and community impact & workforce readiness. Our initiatives include: support for faculty in providing students with essential AI literacy and research opportunities, developing discipline-specific curricula aligned with workforce needs, serving as a central resource for campus AI initiatives, and sharing the knowledge we develop across Utah’s higher education system.

AI Power Hour

First Mondays at 1:00 p.m. &

Third Tuesdays at noon

The AI Power Hour is a recurring event twice a month. The Power Hour provides a space for the campus community to foster collaboration, break down silos, and explore the role of AI in education. Faculty and staff are invited to share their insights, voice their concerns, and suggest topics for future sessions. From guest speakers to hands-on workshops, the AI Power Hour provides a platform for the UVU community to shape the integration of AI into academics and operations.

Grant applications are closed for Fall.

The AI Institute will accept Curriculum Integration Grants to support faculty in implementing artificial intelligence in their courses.
