The Alumni Association is pleased to offer scholarships to UVU students. These scholarships
are funded by the generous contributions of UVU alumni, students, employees, organizations,
and community members.
Future UVU Alumni Scholarship:
- Recipients must be the child of an alum who has graduated from Utah Valley University
(UVU), Utah Valley State College (UVSC), Utah Valley Community College (UVCC), Utah
Technical College (UTC) at Provo, or Utah Trade Technical Institute (UTTI). Applicants
must include alum's name (if a parent’s name has changed, include the name used while
attending), the alum’s current address, email, phone number, and UVID if known.
- Applicants must supply a written statement describing any barriers to graduation that
the applicant is facing.
- Recipients must have earned a minimum of 30 credits (at UVU or transfer) and must
be in their sophomore year of college at UVU.
- Recipients must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and be enrolled as a full-time student
at UVU.
- Recipients must be a resident of Utah.
- Recipients must be a bachelor’s degree-seeking student at UVU.
- If awarded, the scholarship will pay half-tuition for Fall and Spring semesters.
Meeting scholarship criteria does not guarantee receipt of award.

Student Alumni Leadership Scholarship:
- Applicant must apply and be appointed as a member of the Student Alumni Ambassadors (SAA).
- Applicant must demonstrate strong leadership abilities.
- If awarded, the scholarship will award up to $1,750 per semester (Fall and Spring)
as funds allow.
Selection Criteria
- Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
- Must have attended at least one year full-time at UVU prior to receiving the scholarship.
- Must be a full-time student (12+ credits).
- Describe the importance of giving to the next generation of UVU students—whether it
be as a volunteer, advocate, financially, or providing advice and career support.
- Describe the qualities they possess that will make them an enthusiastic, dependable,
and motivated UVU Student Alumni Ambassador.
- Share your volunteer and leadership experience and lessons learned from that experience.
- Describe in one sentence why you wish to be a UVU Student Alumni Ambassador.
- Submit two letters of recommendation from any combination of the following list: Personal,
Professional, and/or Academic.
- Scholarship finalists will be invited to an interview.
