About the Print Lab

Established in 2015, the 3D Print Lab makes various components for labs, departments, and senior capstone projects.

Print Lab services are available to the general public, with priority given to AED student projects.

Services Offered

We currently offer FDM printing in white, black, or gray PLA, and limited other colors upon request.

  • Printers: Bambu Lab H2D with AMS
  • Build volume: 300 x 320 x 320mm (350 x 320 x 320mm for multicolor printing)
  • If not otherwise specified, we will default to white PLA at 15% infill

Send us a ready-to-print* .stl or .obj file and we will get it sliced and printed for you! We also have tools available to use for removing supports.

  • Pricing: $0.25 per hour of print + $0.75 per cubic inch of filament used
  • We have a $2 minimum fee so it's best to do multiple small prints together
  • You can pay with card or Apple Pay when you pick up your print

*For help with 3D modeling, please refer to the student tutoring lab in CS 611

To avoid issues, make sure your model is manifold and that small, intricate details have been removed or simplified.
