174 RTP Committee Role in Faculty Evaluations
Purpose
Provide support to department chairs and faculty in the annual evaluation process and establish expectations for RTP Committees regarding their role in the annual review process. The RTP committees provide additional visibility and insight on faculty member’s performance and contributions. The consultation of the RTP Committee on annual reviews will help to ensure that faculty are making progress toward mid-term and tenure reviews. In this sense, RTP Committees serve both the Department Chair and individual faculty members.
