Message from our Advising Director
Advisement at Utah Valley University is a teaching and learning process focused on student success. Academic advising is more than just meeting with an advisor to determine your class schedule. Advising encourages students to think critically, seek out resources, and develop action plans and goals. An advisor provides students with the information and encouragement they need to take personal responsibility for their education, exploring options, and making decisions. Academic Advising is a shared partnership between the student and advisor, which requires participation and involvement on both parties.
The College of Health and Public Service includes programs in Community Health, Dental Hygiene, Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, Aviation, Criminal Justice, Emergency Services, Forensic Science, and National Security Studies. Our academic advisors see students based on their major and last name. The advisors are located in different buildings, both on and off main campus. When scheduling an appointment, please note the address and location of the advisor's building.
Our advisors are committed to helping all students throughout their education journey by providing exceptional care, accountability and results.
