Sharlene Wells

Sharlene Wells is Chief Public Affairs Officer, Mountain America Credit Union, where she leads enterprise-wide communication strategy to strengthen the organization’s reputation with members, employees, media, regulators, and the public. She also oversees government and community relations and the Mountain America Foundation.

Wells brings a diverse career spanning broadcasting, public relations, film, and publishing. A former Miss America, she was an award-winning ESPN sportscaster for nearly 20 years before serving as director of communications for the U.S. Department of Defense’s Office of Personnel. She holds degrees from Brigham Young University and the University of Utah.
