CHSS Teaching Workshop April 7, 2023: How to Use a Variety of Teaching Feedback for Annual Reviews and Beyond

You’ve probably heard the advice to “document your teaching with a variety of methods,” but what does that really look like?

We hope you enjoyed the workshop! View additional resources below.

We’ve talked about some options for teaching documentation on this blog before: mid-term formative assessments, peer observations, and documenting teaching beyond SRIs have all been featured, and we’ve further discussed things like online course design, engaging lectures, and adapting to the newest tech.

On April 7th, 2023, the CHSS Teaching Committee hosted an interactive workshop showing examples of how all of these pieces, and others, can come together. How can you craft a narrative using the evidence you have, and moving forward, how can you make sure you’re getting the evidence you need to tell the story of your teaching? We’ll demonstrate the use of a few levels of feedback, and facilitate discussion on how to best use these various pieces to show who we are as teachers. View the recording, slides, and additional resources used in this workshop below.
