Biography

Bryson Lystrup has over 14 years of law enforcement experience and is currently employed as a Detective Corporal with the Lehi City Police Department. Bryson started his career in 2010 with the Pleasant Grove Police Department. Bryson current assignment is in the Special Victims Unit at the Lehi City Police Department where he investigates crimes against children and sex-related offenses. Bryson has experience in a wide-range of law enforcement positions, including: patrol, patrol corporal, school resource officer, crisis negotiations, and investigations.

Bryson graduated from Lone Peak High School in 2006 and started his college career at the University of Utah where he joined the Sigma Chi fraternity. Bryson eventually earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement from Utah Valley University in 2015. Bryson is excited to now be teaching for the same program from which he graduated.

When he's not working or teaching, Bryson enjoys spending time with his family (consisting of his wife and three young boys) on their surf boat. You may also recognize Bryson as his social media persona of "Officer Nae Nae" - a nickname he earned from the students during his time as a school resource officer at Pleasant Grove High School from a viral video of him dancing in a 7-Eleven gas station. Bryson enjoys making people laugh and tries to never take anything in life too seriously.
