Professor Christa Albrecht-Crane

Biography

Professor Albrecht-Crane has been teaching at UVU since 2001. Her areas of speciality are critical and cultural theory, cultural studies, as well as writing studies. She is currently serving as co-chair on the department's Writing Program Committee. She has published a number of articles and has co-edited a collection of essays on film adaptation theory with Fairleigh Dickinson University Press in 2014. She holds a baccalaureate degree from the University of Munich in Germany; she earned an MA in American Studies from Washington State University and a Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Technical Communication from Michigan Technological University. She lives in Orem with her spouse and two lovely dogs. Her two sons graduated from UVU with degrees in mathematics and now live and work in Chicago and Linz, Austria.
