BIOGRAPHY

Maureen Snow Andrade has an EdD in higher education leadership from the University of Southern California. Previous positions at UVU include Associate Vice President for Academic Programs, University College Associate Dean, and graduate faculty member in the School of Education where she won the Graduate Faculty Mentor award. Dr. Andrade holds the distinction of Principal Fellow from the Higher Education Academy in the UK for strategic leadership in teaching and learning. She is a former director of the English as an International Language program and chair of the Department of English Language Teaching and Learning at BYU Hawaii. Dr. Andrade has authored or co-authored several books, extensive journal publications, and book chapters. She served as the editor of the TESL Reporter and a member of the TESOL Book Publications Committee for a number of years, and currently serves on the TESOL Journal editorial board and as associate editor for Higher Education Pedagogies. Her professional interests include business education, work-life balance, leadership, cultural and linguistic issues, assessment, distance learning, curriculum development, learner self-regulation, student transitions, higher education access and success, and cross-cultural transitions. She is regular presenter at national and international conferences on these topics.
