Biography
Program Management, Project Management Professional, Emergency Management. Currently a program manager with the Utah Fire and Rescue Academy (UFRA). There, I oversee the Quality Assurance Office and Risk Management. Previously, served as a Lead Associate with Booz Allen Hamilton as a subject matter expert (SME) and was assigned to United States Army Pacific CBRNE (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive) Division at Ft. Shafter, Hawaii. I conducted Incident Command System training to U.S. responders in Japan, Hawaii, Alaska, Bangladesh, Indonesia, American Samoa, and the Republic Philippines. Prior to this, I served as a program manager at UFRA. While there, I designed and constructed the Command Training Center to serve all risk response, both locally and regionally.
Prior to taking a position with UFRA, I served over 29 years with the Salt Lake City Fire Department. My last 12 years at Salt Lake City were spent in management positions, primarily in fire training, fire apparatus, special operations, and field supervision.
Training, program management, and incident management have always been a passion for me. My career includes many accomplishments, including the development of various training programs, such as the development of a state, local, and regional CBRNE Task Force, emergency vehicle operations, operational field guides, and operational procedures for the Salt Lake Valley Fire Alliance (a group of ten fire departments throughout the Salt lake Valley that combine resources, training, etc.).
