Dr. Leo Schlosnagle

Biography

Dr. Leo Schlosnagle is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Utah Valley University (UVU) who specializes in developmental psychology.

Dr. Schlosnagle earned his Ph.D. in psychology at West Virginia University with a specialty in life-span developmental psychology, and a research emphasis in how age affects judgement and decision-making.

Much of Dr. Schlosnagle's research focuses on logical errors and fallacies in decision making, and factors that make these errors either more, or less likely to occur. Dr. Schlosnagle's research has been published in a variety of empirical journals, and was recognized with the American Psychological Association's Dissertation Research Award.

Dr. Schlosnagle teaches courses focused on life span development and infant and child development, and he has taught a variety of workshops on research methods, program evaluation, and judgement and decision making.

In addition to teaching and research, Dr. Schlosnagle's professional experience includes program development, administration and evaluation work, extensive grant writing, and a variety of service work. Notably, Dr. Schlosnagle serves as a Faculty Senator at UVU, representing the Behavioral Science Department.
