Jacob Orse teaches courses in composition helping students acclimate to the rigors of college writing--thinking creatively and critically as well as composing more sophisticated and engaging ideas. His research and approach to teaching focus on the nexus of cognitive science and composition, where he is interested in optimizing the writing process, enhancing the "flow" of student writing, and improving metacognition.
