Biography

Rachel Montalvo started in student affairs at UVU as a coordinator with the first-generation initiative, I Am First, which later became the First-Generation Student Success Center. After graduating summa cum laude from UVU, she accepted a position as a coordinator in UVUSA. She came to UVU after working in various customer service, office management, and event planning positions.

Currently, Rachel is the Program Director, providing support to the UVUSA Academic Vice President and the student senators assigned to advocate for each UVU school or college. She is passionate about helping students and her local community connect to the resources and information that they need to have a successful and enjoyable college journey.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading science-fiction/fantasy, Jane Austen, or historical fiction, visiting Mexico, eating ice cream, and spending time with her family.
