Biography
Philip Childs, MSW, CSW is a practicing mental health therapist and educator who is passionate about preparing the next generation of social workers. Drawing on more than a decade of experience in residential treatment, outpatient therapy, and leadership, he brings real-world perspectives into the classroom. His areas of interest include trauma, attachment, Internal Family Systems (IFS), emotional regulation, and strengths-based practice. Philip strives to foster an engaging, inclusive classroom where students feel challenged, supported, and empowered to grow as ethical and compassionate social workers.
