Masrur Mahedi

Biography

Dr. Mahedi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Civil Engineering at Utah Valley University. He received a B.S. from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (2013), an M.S. from the University of Texas at Arlington (2015), and a Ph.D. from Iowa State University (2019), all in Civil Engineering. Dr. Mahedi's research focuses on climate resiliency and sustainable geo-systems. His recent work includes assessing the mechanical and environmental suitability of recycled materials, remediating contaminated soils, and studying the impact of climate on geomaterials. His research has been supported by competitive grant awards from multiple national and state agencies.
