Biography

Peter B. Robinson

Dr. Robinson received his Ph.D. from Brigham Young University in Organizational Psychology in 1987. His work since that time has been in entrepreneurship and technology commercialization with special emphasis in education, training, and research on the characteristics of entrepreneurs. Peter has been active in research publishing 23 articles and book chapters and over 70 presentations at conferences, seminars and workshops in the US, Canada, Jamaica and Russia. His research has been cited in about 3800 peer reviewed journal articles.

Dr. Robinson has taught courses in entrepreneurship, business planning, strategic planning in new businesses, business models & design thinking, and consulting at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He has been active in program development at Utah Valley University where he is the Morris Professor of Entrepreneurship and founder of the Entrepreneurship Institute in the Woodbury School of Business. Since his arrival in 2003 Peter has been instrumental in developing the UVU Entrepreneurship Program with a Major, Minor, and Certificate programs. He also developed and taught, “Be Your Own Boss,”a high school entrepreneurship summer camp.

He has consulted with hundreds of new and small business, both formally and informally. Dr. Robinson has also serves on several advisory boards and boards of director of both for profit and not for profit organizations.
