Biography

Stan Harward is a Professor of Literacy and Language Arts at Utah Valley University and serves as Associate Dean in the School of Education. Dr. Harward has worked in the field of education for over 35 years as a public-school teacher, principal, district administrator, professor, researcher, and university administrator. Dr. Harward’s research interests are centered in literacy, language arts, and leadership in education. His professional works appear in journals like Association of Literacy Educators and Researchers Yearbook, Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy, Literacy Research and Instruction, Reading Psychology, Early Childhood Education Journal, and Tech Trends. Dr. Harward is married and has 5 children and 17 grandchildren. He loves to teach, read, research, write, watercolor, travel, and spend time with family, associates, and friends.
