Biography
Varden E. Hadfield has helped donors contribute a wide variety of assets over an extensive career in fundraising and nonprofit consulting. He focuses on current and planned giving techniques that maximize donor impact and minimize tax.
Previous full-time work has included nonprofit consulting, as well as managing fundraising teams and capital campaigns at Mountainland Technical College, Thanksgiving Point, and Brigham Young University.
His expertise includes alumni relations, individual major gifts, corporate partnerships, state and federal grants, and capital campaigns. He particularly enjoys planned and estate gifts that benefit donors and their families, maximize charitable impact and minimize tax.
Varden has a Master’s Degree in Philanthropy from Indiana University Lilly School of Philanthropy and a BS in Sociology from Brigham Young University.
Varden loves travel, music—violin, piano, and voice, dancing, and outdoor adventures year-round. Favorite outdoor activities include mountain biking, canyoneering, skiing, and backpacking.
