Dr. Fox is an assistant professor in the Social and Behavioral Sciences department and coordinates the Interdisciplinary Gerontology Certificate of Proficiency. Dr. Fox teaches adult development and aging, lifespan human development, family resource management, and death and dying. Prior to joining UVU, she taught at Kansas State University and the University of Utah. Dr. Fox earned her undergraduate and master's degrees from the University of Utah, and her doctoral degree from Colorado State University in applied developmental science with a focus on adult development and aging. She is a member of the Gerontological Society of America, serving in the Academy for Gerontology in Higher Education. Dr. Fox's research focuses on advancing gerontology training in higher education, caregiver preparedness, how family dynamics in aging families impact the caregiving experience, and self-care interventions for family caregivers. Dr. Fox aims to advocate for and support aging families and help improve the health and well-being of older adults and their family caregivers through her teaching, research, and community engagement.
