Biography

After two degrees from BYU, a bachelor in Zoology and Biochemistry and a Master of Public Administration, I went to The Ohio State University to study for a PhD in Public Policy and Management. After completing my written and oral exams, I presented my dissertation topic, The Welfare Effects of Privatization in Developing Countries. While working on my dissertation, JP Morgan Securities asked if I would consult with them as they took four recently privatized energy companies public. Following this service, I spend the next twenty five years working the investment banking and management sector in New York, Singapore, Hong Kong, London, and Bellevue, Washington. In 2009, BYU Hawaii asked if I would teach under a short-term assignment which was extended from six months to six years. Since 2015, I have been a professional in residence at Utah Valley University.
