Biography

I have more than a decade-long experience in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL). I first started teaching ESL in Malaysia and taught students from the Middle East (Syria, Saudi Arabia, and Dubai), Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Mongolia), Malaysia, China, Korea, Indonesia, Sudan, etc. I also taught at Brigham Young University's English Language Center (ELC) for two years to students from Latin America and Asia. In addition, I was an adjunct faculty at Ensign College from 2018-2023, teaching English Courses with an emphasis on academic writing in APA style. During my last year at Ensign College, I also did curriculum designing and content writing for their English course.

In those years that I have worked in academia, I?ve been passionate about guiding students because of my own experiences as an international student twice here in the United States. I am committed to acquiring and increasing my professional knowledge and skills necessary to provide personal/customized and guided direction to students under my supervision. I will be constantly informed about the university's resources, college and departmental policies, and requirements.

To my students, I will strive to get to know all of you, your interests, aspirations, values, and motivations. I'm interested in your academic progress and extracurricular achievements. When you are faced with challenges, I am here to support and encourage you as you work through them.
