Dr. Darin Eckton

Biography

Darin has a unique student-centered perspective having spent over two decades in both student and academic affairs advising, teaching and administration at four different institutions (two private, one public and one for-profit), two of which were online. Darin loves to design curriculum and learning experiences that help students make the connection between theory and practice by way of innovative projects, research, and practical skill-building. And he likes to participate in Ironman triathlons and marathons!

This award is nominated within the all faculty of University College and then a review/evaluation process takes place wherein the top candidate is awarded. Of all faculty in University College (some 100 or so), I was awarded the Dean's Award of Excellence in Scholarship for 2021-2022.
