Paul is an educator, structural engineer, and mountaineer. He holds degrees in Mechanical and Civil engineering, and is licensed in numerous states. He worked through college as a steel detailer, and spent the last 26 years working on a wide range of interesting and boring projects. His favorite work is on historic, industrial structures, on the verge of falling down. He is a Structures Specialist with Utah Task Force 1, and the lead editor of the Architects Guidebook to Structures. In his spare time, he loves being with his wife and kids; hiking, building, and living life.
