Wiktor Mogilski

Biography

Wiktor was born in Warsaw, Poland, and moved to the United States at a young age. He completed his M.S. at the University of Texas and Ph.D. at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He joined UVU faculty in 2019 and is currently an Assistant Professor and Calculus Course Facilitator at the Department of Mathematics.

His general research interests lie in the areas of geometric group theory, geometric and algebraic topology, discrete geometry, and algebraic combinatorics. He also has interests in mathematics education, specifically, in the design and instruction of STEM courses.

Outside the realm of mathematics, he enjoys outdoor activities (e.g. hiking, kayaking, biking), cooking, and traveling.
