Biography

Michael Nadeau has over 26 years of across-the-board training in land boundary determination, geodetic surveying, cadastral surveying, right-of-way design, design surveys, and corridor preservation experience. His background includes encroachment issues in corridor surveys, right-of-way design surveys and Sub-Surface Utility Engineering Surveys (SUE). His experiences range from retracement of 170 year-old boundaries to modern infrastructure surveys using 3D Design and LiDAR. He has worked on projects for Utah's biggest entities such as UDOT, DFCM, Salt Lake City, West Valley City, Dominion Energy and PacifiCorp. He also had the unique experience to perform UAV and LiDAR Surveys at an archaeological site in Beit Lehi, Israel with Utah Valley University.

Michael is an adjunct instructor at both his alma maters, Utah Valley University and Salt Lake Community College. He also serves as chairman on the Survey Program Advisory Committee at Salt Lake Community College. Michael holds Professional Land Surveyor registrations in Utah, Nevada, Idaho, and is a Certified Federal Surveyor (CFedS).

Michael is involved in the surveying community and serves in several ways. He is the current Chairman for the Western Federation of Professional Surveyors (WFPS). He is also the WFPS Director for the Utah Council of Land Surveyors (UCLS) and is a Member of the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) and the International Right of Way Association (IRWA).
