Biography

Bonnie Rodriguez Mortensen has over a decade of experience in higher education, including seven years at the Woodbury School of Business and the last year and a half at UVU Online as Associate Director of Online Programs. Over the course of her career, she has served as Assistant Dean, Director of Marketing and Communications, Program Developer, and Project Coordinator for the Utah Women & Leadership Project. Bonnie is an experienced Certified Strengths Coach passionate about fostering collaboration and designing innovative solutions. As a student, leader, and volunteer, she has received numerous awards, including the NAWBO Student of the Year, the ACT College and Career Readiness Champion, and the Dean's Award of Excellence.

Bonnie holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications and Leadership, a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Leadership and Management, and a Master of Science in Management and Leadership. Currently, she is a member of the UVSELF 2023 cohort and the Institute for Emerging Leadership in Online Learning (IELOL) 2023 cohort.

Apart from her professional pursuits, Bonnie is a mother of four adult children, Ryan's wife, and the daughter of a Marine.
